Thursday night in the Windy City (7/1/10)

The pizza at Geno's was OUTSTANDING!!! We were stuffed and tired by the time we left. It was so big, Matthew, could not finish his second piece of pizza. He is my best eater. We could tell how great the restaurant was, because as we left, there were at least 20 to 30 people waiting in line to get in. Over half of them had gone inside and ordered a "cup" of beer, so they could drink while waiting. You sensed that they knew they would be waiting a while.

When we set out to find Geno's East, we had walked 10 blocks North of our hotel. We didn't find Geno's, but we did end up down by Lake Michigan. This was also as far North as we could walk. So we walked over one block, and then 10 blocks back towards our hotel. We finally spotted Geno's! After eating, we had to walk 3 blocks over to our hotel. Needless to say, our poor dogs were tired!! The kids swam in the hotel pool, and I relaxed in one of the pool chairs. Met a lady from Cincinnati, and chatted with her to pass the time. Otherwise, I think I would have fallen asleep. After we got back to the room, and in bed for the night, we ended up sleeping until 8:30 a.m. the next day. We never do that!
